Home To Home (H2H) functions as an integral part of a meaningful community response that mitigates the impact of intimate partner violence and abuse by providing opportunities for children to have access to their noncustodial parent(s) in a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive environment. With the belief that children have the right to a relationship with both parents, H2H strives to facilitate these interactions to ensure safety for adult survivors (custodial and noncustodial parents) and their children, safeguard against further harm, and provide opportunities for healing and change.

Understanding that personal wellness and continued learning promotes the well-being of the families that we serve, H2H prioritizes the growth, adaptability, self-care, and self-reflection of our staff, volunteers, and community partners.

About us

Home To Home is a non-profit organization based out of Brunswick Maine that provides supervised visitations and exchanges for parents and their children.  Home To Home has been providing supervised exchanges since 1996 and supervised visitations since 2012 to families who need a safe alternative for noncustodial parents to access their children. Home To Home offers a secure, judgment-free and confidential environment that supports the safety and well-being of children and their parents who choose to or are ordered to use our services.

Supervisors overseeing these visits are trained and committed to fostering a supportive environment inwhich safe, and positive engagement between noncustodial parents and their children can occur.

Home To Home supervisors are trained and committed to fostering a supportive environment and maintain requisite confidentiality at all times.  Supervisors received extensive training in Intimate partner Violence, mental health, and substance use disorders and are trained Mandated Reporters through the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
